In spite of—or more likely because of—our highly technological world, we’re still fascinated with art and craft that shows “the hand of the maker.” Case in point: the new Fashion and Lace Museum Winnie the Pooh Un-Valentines Day film

in Calais, France. Housed in a 19th century lace factory, it features a contemporary, curved-glass facade with lace-like patterns that glow when lit from behind. Like a lace mantilla worn by a shy maiden of earlier days, it invites visitors inside to see the real treasures behind it. –P.M.K.
