A nice place to sit your drink down.  (It’s funny because it works on more than one level!  Not so grammatical, though.) — A.M.

Even Rosie, the Jetson’s robot maid, might be intimidated by this kitchen of the future from Faltazi. There seem to be an awful lot of chutes and bins…your devoted blogger wonders where she would keep the cat treats. — A.M.

This hand soap is shaped like…um…a hand.  Pretty cool for the first few dozen people who get to shake hands while soaping up.  But what’s it like once it starts to dissolve?  Didn’t Steve McQueen star in a movie about this in 1963? — A.M.

Toaster…or bread jail?

January 14, 2010 at 9:26 am

“The Magimix Vision Toaster is the very first of its kind to boast clear, easy to clean, glass windows through which you can watch your bread get browner by the second. The real breakthrough is the inclusion of long life quartz elements which give constant heat for consistent browning. Add in an extra wide slot with automatic self centering, an extra lift lever to allow smaller pieces of bread to be removed safely, an accurate timing control and you’ve got the coolest toast-maker on the block. You can also use it for warming.” — A.M.

Finally, design firm Creative Commons has taken the idea to a completely literal level, designing coins in the shape of their respective pie chart ratios. Instead of a full circle for a 25 cent piece, it is shaped in to a quarter circle, and half a dollar is exactly a half circle shaped coin.” — A.M. infographiccoins_img1jpg
